PEGS Website Redesign: Creating One Central Hub for Support, Training and Resources
PEGS, which stands for Parent Educational Growth Support, is a not for profit CIC supporting parents, carers and professionals around Child to Parent Abuse. Their work includes specialist support for parents and carers, training for professionals, awareness raising, resources, events and wider advocacy.
As PEGS continued to grow, their online presence had become spread across multiple websites and platforms. This made it harder for the team to manage information, keep content up to date and provide a smooth experience for the people who needed their support.
My role was to bring everything together into one central website. A single, accessible and easy to manage hub that could support parents, carers, professionals and the PEGS team.
The Challenge
PEGS had outgrown their previous website setup. With information sitting across different websites and systems, the team needed a more joined up approach.
The existing website was also outdated and built on a platform that was difficult to manage. This meant even simple updates could feel time consuming, and the team did not have the level of control they needed.
The new website needed to:
Create one central place for all PEGS information
Make it easier for parents and carers to find support
Showcase training and services for professionals clearly
Improve accessibility and user experience
Make content easier for the PEGS team to update
Bring events, resources, support pages and key information together
Reflect the professionalism, warmth and impact of the organisation
Support SEO best practice throughout the site
The Solution
I designed and built a fresh, modern Squarespace website that brings PEGS’ services, training, resources and information into one easy to navigate platform.
The new website acts as a central hub for the organisation, helping different audiences quickly find what they need, whether they are a parent looking for support, a professional interested in training, or someone wanting to learn more about Child to Parent Abuse.
The design is clean, accessible and user friendly, with clear pathways, thoughtful page layouts and a structure that supports the different ways people may arrive on the website.
Bringing Multiple Websites Into One Clear Platform
One of the biggest parts of the project was merging information from several PEGS websites into one central place.
This involved reviewing the existing content, restructuring it and creating a clearer user journey. Instead of people having to move between different websites or platforms, everything now sits within one organised website that is easier for visitors to understand and much easier for the PEGS team to manage.
This has given PEGS more confidence and control over their online presence, reducing duplication and making future updates much simpler.
Designed With Accessibility In Mind
Accessibility was an important part of the project. The website supports people who may be visiting during stressful, emotional or difficult situations, so clarity and ease of use were essential.
I focused on creating clear page structures, easy to read content sections, strong contrast, simple navigation and accessible design choices throughout.
The result is a website that feels calm, supportive and professional, while making important information easier to find.
Custom Design Elements and Visual Features
To help PEGS communicate their impact more clearly, I created a range of developed visual elements across the site.
This included graphical sections for statistics, impact reporting, resources and key information. These elements help break up content, make important messages more engaging and allow PEGS to present their work in a more visual and memorable way.
Rather than relying on static pages of text, the new site uses carefully designed sections to guide users through information in a clearer and more engaging format.
Built With SEO Best Practice
SEO best practice was considered throughout the project, helping PEGS improve the visibility and structure of their website.
This included clear page titles, optimised headings, search friendly page structures, improved content hierarchy and well organised navigation. The website has been built to help search engines understand the different areas of PEGS’ work, from parent and carer support to professional training and Child to Parent Abuse awareness.
By creating a more structured and content rich website, PEGS now has a stronger foundation for ongoing SEO and future content growth.
Easy To Update and Manage
A key goal of the project was to give the PEGS team full control of their website.
Their previous platform made updates difficult, but the new website has been built in a way that is much easier to manage day to day. The team can now update pages, add resources, manage content and keep the website fresh without feeling reliant on a developer for every small change.
To support this, I also created a full suite of tutorial guides, giving the team clear step by step instructions on how to manage the website confidently.
The Result
PEGS now has a modern, accessible and easy to manage website that brings all of their key information into one central hub.
The new website helps parents, carers and professionals find the right information more easily, while giving the PEGS team a platform they can confidently update and grow.
The project has transformed their online presence from a collection of separate websites into one clear, professional and supportive digital home.

Kind words from the client
“Toni has done an incredible job on our website. Her passion clearly shines through, as does her ability to want to work alongside her clients, not for them, but with them. From the off set Toni listened, gave feedback and suggestions and welcomed ideas from our whole team. From the initial meeting to end, Toni has been amazing , we also love the guided video tutorials sent to help us navigate a new platform. As a not for profit organisation it was important for us to find someone who understood the landscape and how our needs may be different to a more corporal world, Toni absolutely got this and i have already shared her details with others who are looking at website options. I would highly recommend Toni without any hesitation as a really nice added bonus, Toni plants 5 trees for every website she creates, this is a brilliant initiative and one we were impressed with. Great job Toni, welcome to being part of our external partners, we are delighted to have met and worked with you”

Final Thoughts
This project was about much more than creating a new website. It was about helping PEGS build a digital home that truly supports the scale and importance of their work.
By bringing everything together into one clear, accessible and easy to manage platform, PEGS now has a website that better reflects who they are, what they do and the difference they make to families and professionals across the UK.
